Looking for something good to watch this weekend that is guaranteed to make you laugh and bring happiness into your life? Then this is the perfect list for you. We at Ureshii Outlet got together and made a list of our favorite movies that always make us smile.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
The story of a high school senior who skips school to hang out with his best friend and his girlfriend. He spends the day doing everything he wants while trying to avoid being caught. The plot is very simple and that’s the brilliance of the movie. It is goofy and funny and perfect if you don’t want anything too serious.
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Fantastic Mr. Fox is directed by the famous Wes Anderson making it one really quirky film. If you are looking for a cute movie appropriate for kids that is just goofy enough to make anyone smile this is definitely the movie you want from this list. Tells the story of a fox that steals from nearby farmers to survive with all his other animal friends. It’s very charming and perfect for a fun movie night for all ages.
Singin’ In The Rain
Singin’ in the Rain tells the story of an actor that needs to learn to deal with the new technology of simultaneous sound in movies. He has always acted in silent films so sound accompanying the movies brings some funny difficulties. This movie has a great sense of humor and some fantastic music and dancing. It is incredibly charming and is very different from other movies on this list.
The Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club is very similar to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in that the plot deals with high school kids doing things that are against the rules. The movie documents a group of kids that are locked in a library for detention and how they get to know each other. It is a very charming story about learning to fit in and is very relatable. Warning: There is some harsh language in the movie.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
This is my ultimate happy film. It is the perfect blend of goofy humor, inspirational messages, and great music. This is also very good for people of all ages. The movie tells the story of a young poor boy named Charlie and how he gets to go on a tour of one of the most popular chocolate factories in the world after winning a contest. The owner is a little nutty and it makes for some very strange scenarios.
